As a member of the "Gold as Gold" club at Golden Corral, I get a free meal for my birthday. Before taking off for Aubree's birthday party, I gathered up that middle brother of mine and took him along, too!
We had a great time together! He was sober - as far as I could tell - and so we joked and kidded around, as we have since we were kids.
What a treat!
Here we are after the meal. We're there at the Chevron, both squinting into the sun. Talk about a sure-fire way to make you look old - whew! I'll have to remember not to do that again!
I've signed him up for that birthday club, too. We'll go there in July when his day comes around.
I'll look forward to that!
